Each year we have a fundraising event in New York City.

This is a chance for the friends of HHC to get together, share stories, get a report on recent activities, and learn more about what we are doing. It also helps raise funds to support HHC's programs in Nepal.

The 2008 event is dinner on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008 at 6:30 p.m., at the 3 West Club, New York, NY. Barbara Crossette will be the keynote speaker and Anil Parajuli will report on HHC work and Nepal. There will be SPIRAL envirornmental handicrafts on sale.

The 2006 annual dinner took place in May in New York City and featured presentations by Anil Parajuli, Dr. Robert McKersie, and the SPIRAL Foundation.

Previous dinners have featured guest speakers such as Professor Robert Thurman of Tibet House, who spoke on the subject of  the "Tibetan View on Changing Ourselves, Changing the World," and Martin Scorsese, who spoke about the making of his film Kundun.
